Message from the Director

I warmly welcome you to the Office for Graduate Research (OGR) of the Graduate School, University of Santo Tomas!

The OGR believes that you are a significant contributor of knowledge and research products in the Thomasian community. We support your professional advancement by shaping you in becoming highly competent, flexible, and independent researchers. With your passion and commitment in producing quality research, the OGR is pledged to guide you at every phase of your research endeavors. We provide assistance on thesis/dissertation proposal, presentation (colloquium and oral defense) and publication, and continuously offer research-related seminars, workshops, and fora grounded on evidence-based strategies to enhance your research knowledge, skills, and values. Through our incentive program, we give recognition to the outstanding work of our graduate students for their publication in local and international journals.

I hope that this site shall serve as your companion with a hub of essential information in completing your graduate research as a contribution to your discipline. Published Student Researches

Student researches, whether theses or dissertations, are eventually submitted to peer-reviewed and reputable national or international journals for publication. From 2013-2016, a total of 276 researches were published in different journals. View the tracer by downloading the file below:

The UST-Graduate School Ethics Review Committee started as an Ethics Research Board, which is now composed of eleven (11) evaluators who are experts in their own fields. The UST-Graduate School Ethics Review Committee is composed of health, allied health, and non-health professionals/practitioners.  It is independent in its reflection, advice, and decision.

  1. REQUIREMENTS

    1. ERC Application Form
    2. Three (3) softbound revised proposals, with the following:
      1. Proposal Endorsement Form (signed by your adviser within the month you are planning to submit)
      2. English Editing Form
      3. Approval Certificate of Thesis / Dissertation Proposal
      4. Abstract
      5. Chapters 1-3
      6. Appendices (use FO 34 – Informed Consent Form Template as your guide in creating your Participant Information and Informed Consent Form)
      7. Curriculum Vitae
    3. Two (2) copies of accomplished FO 33 (Reviewers’ Assessment Form) and FO 32 (Self-Assessment Checklist Form)
    4. One (1) long white folder
    5. One (1) long brown envelope
    6. One (1) copy of Ethics Review Fee receipt (get payment slip at UST-GS ERC Office, Rm. 301, Thomas Aquinas Research Complex)

    PROCEDURES

    1. Get payment slip at USTGS-ERC Office, Rm. 301, Thomas Aquinas Research Complex.
    2. Pay the fee at the UST Cashier’s Office, Main Building.
    3. Submit all the requirements for the Ethics Review application at USTGS-ERC Office, Rm. 301, Thomas Aquinas Research Complex.
