NAVIDAD, Florence C.

Professor Florence C. Navidad, EdD, is a Thomasian educator at the Department of  Medical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, and a Resident Researcher at the Research  Center for Social Sciences and Education, University of Santo Tomas (RCSSED-UST).  She is also a Medical Technologist and a Nurse by profession. She is currently the Chair  of the UST-Institutional Research Ethics Board (IREB). Presently the Faculty  Development lead implementing officer and a Co-Chairman of the Research Ethics  Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy. She was the Pedagogical Lead of the Faculty of  Pharmacy ( 2020-2022). She is an accreditor of the Philippine Association of Colleges  and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). She is an Associate Member  of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP-DOST), Medical Sciences  Division. She has been the Managing Editor of the Journal of Social Health (2018 – 2022). Currently, a guest reviewer of international ISI journals. Some of her researches were  awarded as winners/best in research in presentations, likewise published in international  journals. A research associate of the commissioned CBCP research on the National State  of Catholics in the Philippines. A research associate of the National Catechetical Study  (NCS) 2016-2022, a project with the CBCP –ECCCE producing seven (7) modules. She  is a recipient of the Silver Series award, University of Santo Tomas, 2016-2018, 2014- 2016 Research/ Creative Works, and 2014- 2017 International Publication awards. She  was awarded an outstanding reviewer of Emerald Publishing Limited in November 2020.  A recipient of several government and non-government organizations research grants.  Her research interests include social health and sciences, health education, public health,  epidemiology, medical sciences and nursing, and natural sciences. She’s also involved  in educational management, organizational, cooperative, union dynamics, and human  resource development. For her creative works, she co-authored Principles and Strategies  of Teaching in Medical Laboratory Science and Allied Health, published by Infopage  Educational Services, Inc. She also co-authored Nursing Chemistry Laboratory Manuals  and Basic Math with Dosage and Solutions books published by C & E-publishing and  Cengage Learning Asia Pte. Ltd.
