Asst. Professor Elenita Mendoza graduated Master of Arts in Filipino Teaching at the Philippine Normal University (PNU) and BSE Major in Filipino with honor cum laude from the same university. She is completing her doctorate in Filipino with a specialization in Translation Studies at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She is a Sanggunian sa Filipino (SANGFIL) member and the National Association of Translation Supporters (PATAS). She was a former senior researcher at the UST Research Center for Social Sciences and Education and a fellow of the UST Center for Translation and Translation Studies. Her research interests are related to technical translation, particularly medical texts, and the analysis of translation activities carried out by government institutions in the Philippines.
