VERGARA, Ma. Lanie V.

Asst. Prof. Ma. Lanie V. Vergara, MA, LPT, teaches Filipino: Panimulang Pagsasalin in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences. She has been teaching at the university since 1984. She completed her Bachelor of Secondary Education Magna Cum Laude at the Philippine Normal College in 1983. She completed her Master of Arts in Language Teaching in Filipino at the Philippine Normal University (PNU). Her thesis, “Glosaryo ng mga Terminolohiya at Kahulugan sa Agham Panrehabilitasyon,” was recognized as one of PNU’s best theses in 2015. The state university submitted it to the Julian Cruz Balmaceda competition sponsored by Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino. Currently, she is a council member of UST Sentro sa Salin at Araling Salin. She has served as the Student Welfare and Development Coordinator of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences since 2008.
