Pia Patricia P. Tenedero is assistant professor at the Department of English of the Faculty of Arts and Letters and associate researcher at the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Manila, the Philippines. She is honorary post-doctoral graduate of the Linguistics Department of Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, where she completed her PhD in Linguistics supported by an international research scholarship grant from the Australian Government and Macquarie University. She convenes units for graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in the English Language Studies program of UST. She is also part of the editorial board of the Asian Journal of English Language Studies. Her teaching and research are mainly in sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, intercultural communication, English language use and learning in globalized and professional contexts. Her academic advocacy includes accessible research communication, such as through research blogging. Besides publishing in indexed journals, she also writes about her research in the international, peer-reviewed sociolinguistic research blog www.languageonthemove.com.
