PORTO, Analyn E.

Prof. Analin Empaynado Porto is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from  University of Santo Tomas. She finished her Master of Education major in School Leadership at De  La Salle University Graduate School and earned her degree in Doctor in Educational Management at  the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. 

Prof. Porto is a former research associate of the Research Center for Social Science and Education  (RCSSED). She is currently an academic staff of the UST Faculty of Pharmacy-Department of  Medical Technology and an affiliate faculty of the UST Graduate School under the Education and  Leadership cluster.  

Apart from being a Registered Medical Technologist, Prof. Porto is also a Licensed Professional  Teacher. Her most recent research publications in the field of education are “Exploring the Road  Less Travelled: Attitude, Satisfaction and Competency of Senior High School Students in the  Technical Vocational Livelihood Track” and “Adopting e-learning technologies in higher  educational institutions: The role of organizational culture, technology acceptance and attitude.” She  received a Silver Series Award from the University’s Research Center for her research publications.  She has also co-authored textbooks in Health and Algebra.  

Prof. Porto is also among the pioneer batch of UST’s Training the Trainor Program for its e learning access program (eleap) in 2005. She received training in e-learning program development  and implementation thru a Certification Program offered by INWENT Germany where she is one  of the international scholars. She has served as secretary and board member of the Philippine E learning Society where they have conducted e-learning trainings to various HEIs in the Philippines. 

Her preliminary administrative experience varied from being chairs of various committee,  Department coordinator, member of the Dean’s council, and E-learning Training and Development  Manager of the UST Educational Technology Center. In Jan. 2019, she was appointed as Assistant Director of the University’s Purchasing Office. At present, she is the Director for Administration of  the University of Santo Tomas Hospital.
