AMADO, Timothy M.

Timothy M. Amado is a full-time faculty member of the ECE Department at the Technological University of the Philippines-Manila and a part-time faculty member at the ECE Department of the University of Santo Tomas. He earned his bachelor’s degree at TUP-Manila, where he graduated as Magna Cum Laude. He is a recipient of the DOST Academic Excellence Award, Special Award in Engineering, and TUP Academic Excellence Award. He pursued his post-graduate studies at Mapúa Institute of Technology, earning his master’s in Electronics Engineering. Currently, he is taking up his doctorate in Electronics Engineering at Mapúa University, focusing on reinforcement learning and intelligent transportation systems. 

Engr. Amado has more than ten years of teaching experience in the field of board exam review, both for ECE licensure examinations, with expertise in Engineering Mathematics, Calculator Techniques, Signals and Systems, Control Systems, Network Theory, and Analog Electronics.

Research Highlights

  • Engr. Amado is a member of various research groups with internal and external funding in the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila including grants from DOST-PCHRD, DOST-NCR and USAID. He had also mentored students, both undergraduate and graduate, in doing their respective thesis and project study. Currently, he is a member of a research group that focuses on intelligent transportation systems with funding from CHED-DBM.
