The Department of Industrial Engineering recently inked an agreement with FASTTRACK Solutions, Inc., SAP Platinum Partner, and FIT Academy, in offering laboratory courses using SAP Business One, an Enterprise Resource Planning solution used worldwide.
An orientation was held for third-year students on February 20, 2021.
According to Assoc. Prof. Joehanna K. Ngo, Chair of the IE Program, and, Engr. Gabriel Bucu, Laboratory Supervisor, SAP Coordinator, IE Lead Trainer for the program, this tie-up will enrich the current academic course offerings and expose students to more job opportunities after graduate – ready for Industry 4.0. Faculty of Engineering Dean Philipina A. Marcelo, PhD said that the months-long effort to ink the agreement is a realization of the Faculty’s desire “to give our students the best training, pandemic notwithstanding.”
The courses included in the integration are: Operating Productive Systems Laboratory, and Information Systems Laboratory.
Students who will be finishing the courses shall be receiving a Certificate of Completion.
