The timeliness and timelessness of the University of Santo Tomas extend beyond the four walls of the campus. Recognizing the value of strong and beneficial partnerships, UST maintains linkages with partner universities and educational institutions here and abroad, with the top players in the industry, with Philippine government institutions, and with the respected professional organizations.
Such partnerships and linkages allow UST to engage in meaningful collaboration, that leads to student and faculty mobility, research collaboration, joint scientific activities, scholarship grants, curricular enhancement, and policy formulation, among others.
Internationalization is a thrust of the University of Santo Tomas, in its attempt to foster mutually beneficial and enriching partnerships with educational institutions, associations, and consortia. Such a thrust has several facets: student mobility, academic and administrative staff mobility, program mobility, research collaboration, and the conduct of joint scientific/academic activities.
All these are facilitated by the Office of International Relations and Programs (OIRP), established in 2013. The OIRP liaises with the different faculties, colleges, institutes, and schools, which have their own Internationalization Coordinators, for the efficient management of the University’s linkages.

The University actively engages the industry, appreciating the fact that for its curricular offerings to be relevant, they must be responsive to the needs of the industry. UST’s graduates are employed in respectable institutions and companies locally and abroad, and members of the industry involve themselves in revising and updating curricular offerings in several academic units. Likewise, our partners in the industry help make Thomasians’ dreams come true, through their generous support and continued assistance through scholarships and other forms of grants.
For Academic Year 2016-2017, the following Partner Foundations provided scholarship grants to Thomasians, through the San Martin de Porres External Scholarships:
