LOPEZ-KAW, Jacqueline O.

Jacqueline O. Lopez-Kaw is a lawyer, academic, human resource practitioner, and a CBA negotiator.

As the current Dean of the University of Santo Tomas Graduate School of Law, she hopes to be a driving force in shaping legal minds and leave an indelible mark on the legal landscape. She also handles Labor Standards, Labor Relations, Social Legislation, and Labor Law Review in the UST Faculty of Civil Law where she has been teaching since 2008.

She has also previously served the University in different capacities. From January until December 2023, she served as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Letters. She was also the Director of the UST Human Resource Department from June 2010 until December 2022. She also served as the Faculty Secretary of the Faculty of Civil Law from June 2008 to May 2010.

She has also served as a member of various committees in the University such as the Manpower Committee, Budget Committee and other ad hoc committees such as Committee on Decorum for violations of Sexual Harassment Law and the Safe Spaces Act. She is also the Chair of the Management Panel of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for 2011-2016, 2016-2021 and Vice-Chair for the 2021-2026 CBA for the Support Staff.

Prior to her commitment to Thomasian administration and education, she worked as a Court Attorney in the Supreme Court of the Philippines under Associate Justice Alicia Austria-Martinez (Ret.) and as an associate at Divina and Uy Law Office.

She obtained the following degrees from the University of Santo Tomas: 1.) Bachelor of Arts degree major in Legal Management in 2002, Magna Cum Laude; 2.) Bachelor of Laws in 2006, Cum Laude; 3.) Master of Laws in 2016, Summa Cum Laude; and 4.) Doctor of Civil Law in 2019, Summa Cum Laude.

She is a Certified Human Resource Professional by the International Federation of Professional Managers since 2019.
