Ms. Joanna Mari Freo obtained her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Pharmacy and a master’s in food science from the same university. Before holding a full-time position as an instructor, she held positions in different private and government institutions, where she served as a biochemist and food technologist, working on developing and improving various food products.
As an educator, she teaches at the Department of Food Technology, handling several professional courses such as Food Microbiology, Food Preparation and Processing, Food Chemistry, and Bakery Science, among others. She is also the e-Learning Specialist of the College of Education and a Level 1 Google Certified Educator.
