BAUTISTA, Roland L.

Roland Bautista is a graduate of the Philippine Normal University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Literature. He finished his master’s degree from De La Salle University under the program of Master of Arts in Philippine Studies (Language-Media-Culture), where he bagged the Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award for his local-cultural studies focusing on the sustainable implication of Waterlily Industry in Las Piñas City.

He had attended local and international conferences, which equipped him with language and literature teaching and research skills. Moreso, He was a school paper adviser and a teacher-trainer for literary and speech competitions when he was still teaching in Senior High School. Presently, He is teaching as a full-time faculty in the University of Santo Tomas and a Project Coordinator for UST Center for Translation and Translation Studies.

His research interests focus on Gender, Media, and Cultural Studies and he is currently working on his research publications.
