Engr. Almira received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila Philippines in 1991 and Master of Science in Management Engineering from the Feati University, Manila, Philippines in 2004. He served as the Chairperson of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2009-2010 and as the Machine Shop supervisor in 1993-1997, 2000-2009, and 2010 until the present. He is one of the advisers of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning Engineers – UST Student branch. He is a Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME), ASEAN Engineer, currently the external vice president of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) – NCR Academe Chapter, an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and a member of the Philippine Integrated Fire Protection Organization (PIFPO). He is one of the advisers of the UST Eco-Tigers, the representative of UST in the annual Shell-Eco Marathon Asia. His field of interests are Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R), Power Plant Engineering, and Fire Protection Systems.
