Jesselyn B. Alcain finished her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, and was also a DOST-SEI scholar. She received her Master of Science in Management Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas in 2011. She is currently doing post-graduate studies, Ph.D. major in Commerce at the University of Santo Tomas. 

She had almost a decade of professional Industrial Engineering experience in a multinational semiconductor company where-in she handled various functions such as manufacturing line operation, capacity planning, systems support and was a key member to several new product start-ups. Currently, she is the Continuous Improvement Lead of a leading non-life insurance company in which she spearheads process improvements projects and drives customer experience initiatives. She is also concurrently the Internal Quality Audit Lead who is instrumental in the company’s transition to and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015.  She is a part-time lecturer at the University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Engineering since 2013.
