ABRERA, John Michael S.

Engr. John Michael S. Abrera completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Santo Tomas in 2000. He has finished two Master’s degrees, a Master of Engineering (ME-P) from UST in 2009 and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from the Technological University of the Philippines in 2017. He is taking his Doctor in Engineering Management (DENG) from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

He has served the Faculty of Engineering as Laboratory supervisor of the Electrical Engineering Laboratory (2005-2011) and Physics Laboratory (2017-present) as deputy Quality Management Representative of the Electrical Engineering department.

He is a life member of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) of the Philippines. He is also a member and served as Treasurer of the University of Santo Tomas Electrical Engineering Alumni Association, Inc (USTEEAAI).

For extra-curricular involvements, he has served as coach and manager of the Engineering Basketball Team (2005-2008) and technical adviser of the UST Eco-Tigers II (Urban Concept – Battery Electric Vehicle)
