Carillo of Teacher Education appointed CHEd Institutional Sustainability Assessor

Prof. Clarita D.L. Carillo, PhD of the Department of Teacher Education of the College of Education was appointed as an Institutional Sustainability Assessor of the Commission on Higher Education.

The Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) program of the Commission on Higher Education stemmed from the “Policy-Standard to Enhance Quality Assurance in through an Outcomes-Based and Typology-Based QA” memorandum order in 2012. The program aims to help higher education institutions (HEIs) to develop their internal quality assurance systems that will enable them to perform effectively and efficiently to meet their desired outcomes and performance targets.

Carillo, who is also an assessor for the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance Group, was UST’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs from 2006-2017. Her CHEd appointment took effect last August 1, 2017 and will last until December 31, 2019.
