The Laboratory Equipment and Supplies Office (LESO) under the Vice-Rector for Finance supports academic and research units of the University regarding their chemical, apparatus, and equipment requirements. It has umbrella supervision over the different laboratories in the University addressing the needs of the students, laboratory instructors, and researchers.
The main office is located on the 8th floor of the UST Central Laboratory Building which houses the Administrative Office, Chemical Preparation Area, Instrumentation Service Center, Chemical Stockroom, and the state-of-the-art Laboratory Glassware & Apparatus Warehouse. LESO maintains a storage room on the 9th floor for controlled and regulated chemicals with licenses from PNP and PDEA. At the same time, the Hazardous Waste Storage Area is located on the ground floor.
A satellite office on the 9th floor of the Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati Building caters to the needs of the UST Senior High School.
The Laboratory Equipment and Supplies Office is committed to providing selfless support services to students, academic staff, and researchers and promoting high standards of honesty and integrity in the management of laboratory resources at the University.
