Rehab. Sciences brings Kalinga RS to Negros Occidental

On July 30, 2019, the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, through its Kalinga RS program, paved the way for kids with special needs in Negros to effectively engage in everyday occupations of Activities of Daily Living (ADL), play, and education. A total of 41 families, 113 elementary school teachers, and 93 special education teachers benefited from the program.

This convergence was made possible with the OT faculty and alumni, THINK, Inc. and Autism Society Philippines- Bacolod Chapter. Project coordinators included Occupational Therapy Department Chair Asst. Prof. Kathlene Anne Hernandez, MHPEd, faculty member Charles T. Bermejo, MSOT, and BSc Occupational Therapy 2005 graduate Claire Uy-Yulo.
