Romeo A. Sebastian, RL, MLS is a multifaceted individual with a passion for creativity and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world of Library and Information Science. With a diverse background in Information Technology, Indexing and Abstracting, Archives, and Records Management, he contributes to the development of information storage and retrieval systems through the library information systems he created and designed: (a) The “Pagemaster” (2001) and “Libro System” (2002), which are continuously evolving to incorporate solutions to current needs in the ever changing and vastly growing information management; and, (b) the cloud-application “MyPantas” (2022). These are all distributed for free and are continuously being availed of and utilized by many libraries and information centers up to the present.
His published works include his “Thesaurus on the Philippine Environment” (published by Bookmark in 2005) and “Information Empowers” (a newspaper article in the Peoples Tonight in the year 2006).
He is a member of Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI), Philippine Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (PATLS), and the Medical and Health Librarians Association of the Philippines (MAHLAP).
Mr. Sebastian, a licensed librarian, received his Master of Library Science from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. He holds the rank of Instructor IV in the Library and Information Science Program, College of Education, at the University of Santo Tomas.
