QUINTANA, Marielyn C.

Marielyn Caraan Quintana, LPT, PhD is the current Principal of the UST Education High School and an associate professor of the University of Santo Tomas College of Education.  She is part of the College of Education Deans Council and currently the vice-president of the College of Education Alumni Foundation Inc and the National Secretary of the Catholic Teachers Guild of the Philippines. She has more than thirty years of teaching experience, majority of which were devoted to administrative positions in the university.  Aside from being an academic staff of the College of Education, she has been assigned to various tasks, such as Supervising Teacher at the UST Education High School and as the Director of the UST Simbahayan Community Development Office. She has published a book in Trends in Issues in Social Studies for Senior High School and has published articles in Community Development, Phenomenology and Informetrics. She is a licensed teacher by profession and holds a doctoral Degree Major in Development Studies from the Graduate School of the Royal and Pontifical University of Santo Tomas, Master of Education from the Graduate School of Education University of Western Australia and Bachelor of Science major in History at the College of Education University of Santo Tomas.
