Engr. Mercado received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Latin honors (Cum Laude) from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila Philippines in 2014 and a Master of Science in Management Engineering from the same university in 2018. He served as the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory Supervisor in 2017 until the present and one of the quality management deputies and enrolment advisers of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He is also one of the advisers of the Mechanical Engineering Club, the official student organization of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He is a Registered Mechanical Engineer (RMEE), currently the chapter Secretary of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) – NCR Academe Chapter, and a member of the Philippine Integrated Fire Protection Organization (PIFPO), Philippine Society For Engineering Education (PSEE), Certified Fire Protection Specialists of the Philippines (CFPSP), and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He is also a designer and consultant of Meroma Engineering Consultancy in the field of Fire Protection. His field of interests are in Fire Protection, Energy Management, Fabrication and Prototyping, and Water Systems.
