Ar. Demetrio C. Alcaraz Jr. is currently a Faculty Researcher under the Research Center for Culture, Arts, and the Humanities, an Assistant Professor II at the College of Architecture, both at the University of Santo Tomas. He is also the Principal Architect of D. C. Alcaraz, Jr. & Associates. He graduated with a degree in BS Architecture from the College of Architecture & Fine Arts of the University of Santo Tomas in 1975 and in 2008, finished his MS Architecture, cum laude at UST Graduate School. Ar. Alcaraz is a member of the United Architects of the Philippines, Quezon City Chapter. He is also a member of the International Council of Museums.
As the Principal Architect of D. C. Alcaraz Jr & Associates, his projects in Conservation include the Renovation of the Sanctuary of the San Roque Cathedral, the Reconstruction of the Second Monastery of San Agustin, the Rehabilitation of the Inner Court of San Agustin and the partial renovation of the San Sebastian Convent. He is married to Ma. Aleta Mariano and has a daughter, Beatriz.
