Asst. Prof. Donna May D.C. Papa, PhD and Ms. Carmella Vannette B. Vicera, MSc of the Department of Biological Sciences were elected as President and Recording Secretary, respectively, of the Philippine Society of Microbiology.
Papa previously served the society as its Vice-President and Recording Secretary before ascending to the helm of the organization.
The results were made public on July 26, 2021.
