Nursing students, faculty win awards for researches in int’l symposium on health innovation and nursing research in Thailand

The College of Nursing co-hosted the first International Symposium on Health Innovation and Nursing Research (HINR) with Thammasat University, Thailand last February 23-24, 2017.

During the said event, senior Bachelor of Science in Nursing student Maria Clara Pascua won the best presentation award for their group thesis entitled “Reminisce Therapy: Its Effect on the Self-Esteem and Life Satisfaction of the Community Elderly.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Laurence Lloyd B. Parial, RN, MAN was awarded third place for his research presentation entitled “Predictors of Family Presence during Resuscitation Preferences among Filipino patients’ family members.”

The conference, which featured former Thai Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai and former Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Krasae Chanawongse as keynote speakers, was attended by representatives from Kansai University of International Studies, Juntendo University of Japan, National Defense Medical Center Taiwan, Nanjing University, China, and the University of Malaga, Spain.
