UST Simbahayan Community Development received an award of appreciation from the Schools Division Office of Navotas City. The award was given in recognition of UST’s generous contributions of time, talent, and resources, tireless cooperation, and unselfish commitment in assuring equitable access and development of the quality of basic education in Navotas City, particularly to Kaunlaran High School. The award was given on January 9, 2017 at the Schools Division Office, Bagumbayan Elementary School, Navotas City during the awarding ceremony at the Division’s 7th Founding Anniversary Celebration. The award was received by SIMBAHAYAN Assistant Director Asst. Prof. Froilan A. Alipao, MCD.
The partnership between Kaunlaran High School and UST, which now spans 12 years, has comprised of various educational support programs facilitated and delivered by different student organizations. These organizations have conducted educational support programs, such as tutorial sessions in Mathematics, Sciences and English, and other non-academic activities that include student and leadership development, health related-projects, training-formation on special interests like sports and dance, journalistic writing, computer literacy, environmental awareness and actions, disaster risk reduction, and spiritual formation.
