Indonesian universities officials meet with Pharmacy dean for possible collaboration

Last August 9, 2018 (Thursday), officials from two Indonesian universities met with Prof. Aleth Therese L. Dacanay, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, to explore possible collaboration activities. Universitas Sanata Dharma – Fakultas Farmasi Dean Yustina Sri Hartini and Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia Pharmacy faculty member Fonny Cokro met Dacanay.

Discussed in the meeting were 1) faculty and student exchanges; 2) joint research projects, symposia, and publication; and 3) sharing of academic materials like journals and other information.

Apart from the meeting, the two officials were given a tour of the new Pharmaceutical Care Laboratory, which was donated by Mercury Drug Foundation and inaugurated earlier this year. The short tour was aimed at showing the officials how the Faculty of Pharmacy, as a unit within a Catholic university, manages and operates the academic unit. Benchmarking on the certification by the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance group was also done. All of the Faculty of Pharmacy’s programs, BSc Pharmacy, BSc Medical Technology, and BSc Biochemistry, are certified by the AUN-QA.
