The University of Santo Tomas College of Tourism and Hospitality Management attained the No. 1 Ranking on THE-ICE (International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education) i-graduate Student Satisfaction Global Index 2022. It was awarded during the International Panel of Experts (IPoE) Forum last November 7 to 9, 2022, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was received by Assoc. Prof. Atty. Dr. Gezzez Giezi G. Granado, the Dean of the College. UST CTHM got the highest rank for the following elements: Pre-arrival info, Social orientation, Study sense, Introduction to support services, The cost of accommodation, Financial support, The social activities (organized events), and Student Unions.
THE-ICE ISBSB (International Student Barometer and Student Barometer) Student Satisfaction Survey is a collegial benchmarking and development program in which “cooperative competitors” share anonymized performance measures, thoughts, and ideas to improve the quality of Tourism and Hospitality Education (TH&E) across the globe.
THE-ICE is an accreditation, benchmarking, and quality enhancement organization in tourism, hospitality, events, and culinary arts (TH&E) education, with a network of 44 members in 19 countries across four continents. It accredits public and private universities, hotel schools, institutes, and vocational colleges. The University of Santo Tomas has been an accredited member of the THE-ICE since 2016.
