The Philippine Society of Anatomists held the annual anatomy quiz bee competition for physical therapy and medical students nationwide last January 26, 2019 at San Beda University-Manila. Hosted by the same university, the quiz bee was participated by Our Lady of Fatima University System (Valenzuela, Antipolo, Pampanga and Quezon City) and University of Santo Tomas.
The University of Santo Tomas-College of Rehabilitation Sciences was represented by six (6) 4th year students namely Matthew Louis Banting, Anna Czarina Golingay, Matthew Mondelo (Team A), Angelica Joy Cabral, Kent Aldrin Luzarraga and Anthony Alexis Laigo (Team B). Ms. Ma. Roxanne Fernandez, MSPT, PTRP and Mr. Christopher Cruz, MSPT, PTRP served as the coaches for this competition.
From 10 participating teams, only 4 teams moved on to the final round. Team A and Team B of UST-CRS made it to the final round which ensured their place in the competition. After the final round, UST-CRS Team A comprised of Matthew Louis Banting, Anna Czarina Golingay and Matthew Mondelo won the 2nd place of 2018 PSA Anatomy Contest and the UST-CRS Team B comprised of Angelica Joy Cabral, Kent Aldrin Luzarraga and Anthony Alexis Laigo got the 3rd place in the competition. The Our Lady of Fatima University-Antipolo and Valenzuela were the champion and 4th place in the competition respectively.
