CHRMS formalizes ties with University of Adelaide’s JBI

The Center for Health Research and Movement Science (CHRMS) of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences (CRS) of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) is now in partnership with the JBI of the University of Adelaide. CHRMS is the only JBI affiliated group in the Philippines and is dedicated to advancing the field of healthcare through research and consulting services in various areas, including evidence-based practice (EBP), wellness and promotion, musculoskeletal research, community-engaged research, pain management, pediatric occupational participation, rehabilitation innovations, technological advances, and neuroscience and rehabilitation.

At CHRMS, we believe in the importance of using systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines to inform decision-making in the healthcare industry. EBP is a crucial part of our work, as it lets us use research evidence to inform healthcare decisions and improve patient outcomes. We aim to put plans into practice for the successful delivery and evaluation of EBP-based interventions. We seek to integrate EBP into healthcare policies and public health settings.

The JBI supports the CHRMS-JBI Affiliated Group through trainings and collaborations, strengthening our ability to promote EBP in the Philippines. Professor Valentin C. Dones III, PhD serves as the Director of the CHRMS-JBI Affiliated Group, while Mr. Mark Angel B. Serra, MOH is the Deputy Director. The team will advance the field of healthcare through research and consultation services.
