Asst. Prof. Fidel G. Calalang, Jr. of the Conservatory of Music was selected as part of the five-member jury in the 3rd North Sumatera International Choir Competition, held from August 23-25, 2018, in Medan, Indonesia.
The three-day event a workshop, choral clinic, a meet the juries session, and the actual competition. Calalang, the conductor of the world-renowned UST Singers, joined Philip Lawson (United Kingdom), Dr. Pawasut Jodi Piriyapongrat (Thailand), Aida Swenson (Indonesia), and Dr. Bienvenido B. Constantino, Jr. (Philippines).
