Alday, two Accounting faculty members present papers at international conference in Bali

Three faculty members from the UST Alfredo M. Velayo (AMV) College of Accountancy presented papers at the 6th Mid-Year Accounting Teacher’s International Conference held in Bali, Indonesia on October 25, 2019.

AMV Assistant Dean Asst. Prof. Christine S.M. Alday, presented the paper “Corporate Social Responsibility and the Financial Performance of Top Philippine Banks” co-authored with Patricia Mari V. Calderon, Jana Mariele S. Dimaculangan, Mica Mae A. Konishi, Krizza Mae P. Martin, and Elly T. Sabordo. For audit and governance studies, Accounting Information System Chair Mr. Fermin Antonio D. Yabut presented his paper, “Audit Fees and Key Audit Matters: The Case of Listed Banks in the Philippines.” Also on sustainability studies, Accounting Center Manager Ms. Melba Matula presented the paper “Sustainability Reporting in the Philippines: The Case of Selected Companies.”  This paper was co-authored with Trisha Marie D. Gonzales, Milleyjn Aira E. Aquino, Gerimeer R. Mappatao, Zhamen Marien M. Mendoza, and Danvhar V. Nojara.

The international conference is organized by the National Association of Certified Public Accountants in Education with the theme “Living the Role of Learned Accounting Teachers in Shaping a Learned Accounting Profession.”
