A study entitled “The Philosophy of History of Cardinal Zeferino González, O.P. (1831–1894) and Its Thomistic Origin,” written by Research Center for Theology, Religious Studies, and Ethics (RCTRSE) researcher, Asst. Prof. Levine Andro H. Lao, PhD, was included in the volume Vetera Novis Augere. Le risorse della tradizione tomista nel contesto attuale: II. Temi filosofici e ricerche storiche, published by Urbaniana University Press (Rome).
It appeared in the volume’s Storia del Tomismo (History of Thomism) section.
Cardinal González was a distinguished alumnus of the University of Santo Tomas and one of the most prominent voices of the 19th-century Thomistic revival.

The publication was part of the Eleventh International Thomistic Congress (Rome, 2022), organized by the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas and the Thomistic Institute of the Angelicum, under the theme “Vetera novis augere” (to enrich the old with the new).
This international contribution stood as a testament to RCTRSE’s active engagement in advancing global Thomistic research and strengthening the University’s long-standing commitment to philosophical and theological excellence.
