Yu, MA CHS student, CCCPET conduct cultural heritage mapping project in San Rafael, Bulacan

The University of Santo Tomas – Center for Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in the Tropics (USTGS-CCCPET) recently helped in facilitating the cultural heritage mapping project in San Rafael, Bulacan last May 28, 2016 initiated by Master of Arts in Cultural Heritage Studies (CHS) candidate Wilson L. Yu II.

Public school teachers from the town were trained to document the built, natural, movable, and intangible heritages of the town by CCCPET director Eric B. Zerrudo with the assistance from the CHS program of the graduate school.

The project aimed to identify and document the distinct natural, built, intangible and tangible heritages of San Rafael, to create awareness and appreciation amongst stakeholders and community and to provide basis for a comprehensive development of a meaningful heritage legislation and initiate local heritage ordinances.
