During the March 2015 conference of the Linguistic Society of the Philippines, Assoc. Prof. Camilla D.J. Vizconde, Ph.D. and Mr. Alejandro S. Bernardo, Ph.D. were elected as Treasurer and Director for Conferences, respectively. They will serve for three years, from 2015-2018.
Dr. Vizconde is currently the Chairperson of the Department of English, under the Faculty of Arts and Letters, while Dr. Bernardo, also from the Department of English, is the Faculty Secretary of the Graduate School.
The Linguistic Society of the Philippines, established in 1969, is a renowned academic organization of linguists coming from the different universities and colleges in the country.
