Dr. Robert Jay Lowinger, an Associate Professor of Psychology at Bluefield State College in Bluefield, West Virginia, United States, was a visiting professor of the UST Department of Psychology.
During his stay in Manila from June 25 to July 6, 2016, Lowinger taught Advanced Psychological Statistics at the UST Graduate School from June 27 to July 2, 2016. On July 4 and 5, he spoke to the faculty members of the Department of Psychology during their development training on new trends and techniques in psychological statistics and research.
In 2009, Lowinger worked with the Alzheimer’s Association of New York, Support Group Leader Training Program and National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis for additional Clinical Education in Psychology. Lowinger was also an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at the New York Institute of Technology in 2012, a Teaching Fellow at the State University of New York at Albany from 1985 to 1986, an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at Queensborough Community College from 2002 to 2004, an Adjunct Lecturer of Psychology at State University of New York at Old Westbury from 2003 to 2010, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at Hunter College in 2010.
Lowinger graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2008 here he earned a degree in M.S.W. Social Welfare; in 1996, he obtained his PhD in Educational Psychology and Statistics from the State University of New York at Albany.
