UST Tiger TV bags 2 recognitions in 81st IBS Conference awards

The UST Tiger TV, the television broadcasting arm of the Tiger Media Network, bagged two awards in the 81st Intercollegiate Broadcasting System College Media Conference in New York City, in an announcement released virtually on March 6, 2021.

In the Promotions category, UST TigerTV’s show entitled “#USTeXP”, which featured the UST Minecraft Tour for Freshmen, was named the “Best Live Broadcast Promotional Event”. BA Communication student Ashley Faustine de Mesa headed the show.

Meanwhile, in the Video category, “Life After UST”, which featured Thomasian alumni and professionals, was once again named the “Best Use of Graphics”. BA-Communications student Kathya Karmela de Leon headed the show.

The Tiger Media Network is the official broadcasting arm of the University, operating under the supervision of the Communications Bureau. TMN produces content through Tiger TV with the use of internet protocol television (IPTV) and through Tiger Radio, the University’s e-radio airing via Mixlr.

Meanwhile, the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System College Media Conference is a multimedia conference organized by Intercollegiate Broadcasting System. It is the oldest running collegiate broadcasting association in the United States of America.
