The UST Singers was hailed as the 2017 GRAND PRIX winner of the 3rd International Choral Competition Ave Verum in Baden, Austria, last June 25, 2017 (Sunday).
The UST Singers bagged the First Prize: Gold Superior with 97 points, the highest in the Elimination Round; the Best Interpretation of a 20th Century Piece for “La Aporrumbeosis” by Guido Lopez Gavilan; and 2017 GRAND PRIX.
The Austria leg of the trip was one of the three countries visited by the UST Singers for its 32nd International Tour, the other two being Germany and Switzerland. The tour began last June 7, 2017 and will end on July 14, 2017.
