UST SIMBAHAYAN distributes gadgets for partner communities and institutions

The UST SIMBAHAYAN, together with the College of Science and the College of Commerce and Business Administration, was able to distribute gadgets to several partner communities. These gadgets will be used to further enhance the presentation and interaction for future onsite community development, advocacy, and Service-Learning activities of the academic units.

The first batch of gadgets for this academic year were delivered on August 6 and was facilitated by the College of Science Community Development team. Led by Asst. Prof. Ezra Aguilar, the outgoing Science CD Coordinator, accompanied by the incoming Science CD Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Juliano Parena Jr., the turnover ceremony was also an opportunity to introduce the community leaders. Partners from Brgy. Bucal in Calatagan, Batangas, and Kasiglahan Senior High School and Kasiglahan Village in Montalban, Rizal received TV sets, speakers, laptops, and other accessories. These were received by Ms. Ana Reyes-Jonson and Mr. Alfredo Pastores, who represented the BUTIL scholars and school principal, Dr. Greg Velarde respectively.

 

The second batch of gadgets were delivered by the College of Commerce and Business Administration Coordinator Asst. Prof. Franklin Prieto last August 19 in Sitio Bamban, Hermosa, Bataan. The partner community was represented by Ms. Lolita Valdez and Ms.Lyn-Lyn Valdez, they accepted a TV set and a laptop.

 

The remaining gadgets procured by the University are scheduled to be released before the first semester ends.
