UST rises in 2023 QS Asia rankings, shows strength in internationalization

In the QS 2023 Asia University Rankings released on November 9, 2022, the University of Santo Tomas rose two notches to 175, becoming the only Philippine university out of 16 HEIs to rise in the competitive rankings rolled out by Quacquarelli-Symonds.

Noted as the University’s strengths for this year is internationalization, as UST scored high in outbound exchange (100%), inbound exchange (90.8%), and international faculty (83.7%). Mobility of both students and staff increased substantially during the pandemic, with online technologies being optimized to bridge knowledge-seekers across geographic boundaries.

Among the other indicators looked into were employer reputation and academic reputation, as well as international degree students enrolled in UST, which has implemented the Enriched Virtual Mode of Instruction as a response to the COVID-19-related lockdowns.
