In an announcement released by IABC Philippines, 28 entries from the University of Santo Tomas stood out among the 800 entries in the 9th Philippines Student Quill Awards.
Moreover, the 11 of the 28 awards received by the University were from the student volunteers of the Tiger Media Network, the student volunteer arm of the Communications Bureau.

The Philippine Quill and the Philippine Student Quill Awards honor exemplary communication research, programs, skills, and creative work.
IABC vetted the entries through its global standards that measure the brightest and the sharpest in the communication industry.
