UST reaps seven awards in PACUCOA assembly, recognized with highest number of accredited programs in the country

The University of Santo Tomas reaped seven (7) awards and citations in the December 1, 2017 (Friday) General Assembly of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). UST received the following awards:

1. University with the highest number of accredited programs in the Philippines
2. Institution with the highest number of accredited programs in the National Capital Region
3. University with the highest number of Level IV accredited programs in the Philippines
4. First Tourism program to be granted Level IV accredited status in the Philippines
5. Special Citation for producing a graduate who obtained the highest rating in the Pharmacist Board Examination in 2017
6. Special Citation for producing a graduate who obtained the highest rating in the Nutritionist and Dietitian Board Examination in 2017
7. Special Citation for producing a graduate who obtained the highest rating in the Librarian Board Examination in 2017

Representing the University of Santo Tomas were Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Cheryl R. Peralta, DrPH and deans of the different faculties, colleges, institutes, and schools, namely: Prof. Marilu R. Madrunio, PhD (Graduate School); Prof. John Donnie A. Ramos, PhD (Science), Prof. Michael Anthony C. Vasco, PhD (Arts and Letters); Prof. Allan B. de Guzman, PhD (Education); Prof. Aleth Therese L. Dacanay, PhD (Pharmacy), Assoc. Prof. Susan N. Maravilla, DNM (Nursing); Assoc. Prof. Leonardo M. Canoy, Jr., PhD (Commerce); Assoc. Prof. Anne Marie Aseron (Rehabilitation Sciences); Asst. Prof. Ma. Cecilia A. Tio Cuison (Tourism and Hospitality Management); and Asst. Prof. Mary Christie D. Que (Fine Arts and Design).
