UST produces largest number of new physicians, 7 in the top 10

The University of Santo Tomas produced a total of 302 new Thomasian physicians, logging at 94.38% passing rate and ranking 4th top performing school in the October-November 2021 physician licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

Seven Thomasians likewise secured slots in the top ten highest ratings, namely:

No. 3 – Alyssa May B. Madriaga, MD – 87.33%

No. 6 – Emmanuel Luis S. Mangahas, MD – 86.92%

No. 7 – Ivan Gabriel L. Simpauco, MD – 86.83%

No. 8 – Miguel Luis O. Arkoncel, MD – 86.75%

No. 10

  • Aldric Mikhail N. Aw, MD – 86.50%
  • Johnvert F. Batara, MD – 86.50%
  • Lawrence Raymond V. Mariano, MD – 86.50%

The recent licensure exams saw a national passing rate of 72.85% and were held in Manila and Tuguegarao.
