UST produces 120 new physicians, 6 in top 10 spots

The University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery adds another 120 new licensed physicians to illustrious roster of graduates, results from the March 2022 licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission revealed. UST graduates posted an 85.71% passing rate, making it the second top performing school.

Six Thomasian physicians made it to the Top 10 list, namely:

#4 – Mitch Roy B. Maristela, MD (87.83%)

#5 – Daryl M. Obciana, MD (87.58%)

#6 – Madelaine Johanna L. Abraham, MD (87.33%)

#7 – Sushmita Mae Rose R. Contreras, MD (87.25%)

#10 – Mary Joeline D. Arada, MD (86.67%)

#10 – Mikhael T. Palao, MD (86.67%)

The examinations were administered in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga, with 1,427 new physicians licensed all over the country (50.30% passing rate).
