The University of Santo Tomas maintained its place as the Top 2 Philippine university in the recently released Graduate Employability Rankings 2022 by London-based rankings agency Quacquarelli-Symonds (QS). The University joined the 251-300 bracket in the out of 550 universities.
The rankings initiative, which looks into factors like Graduate Employment Rate and Employer-Student Connections, aims to show the likelihood of the universities’ graduates in landing jobs in respected workplaces through the “ability to produce graduates with the ‘soft skills’ required in the modern workplace.” According to QS, “given the fierce competition for graduate roles around the world, students should be seriously considering how their university can prepare them adequately for full-time employment, by connecting them global employers and ensuring they develop the necessary skills and knowledge.”
Other indicators include partnerships with employers, alumni outcomes, and employer reputation.
