UST maintains rank in 2019 QS Top 1000 universities

The University of Santo Tomas maintained its rank as one of the Top 1000 universities in the world, in the 2019 Quacquarelli-Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, released on June 6, 2018, Philippine time.

The University maintained its spot on the 801-1000 bracket and remained the only Philippine university in the rankings that had the coveted QS 4 Stars rating, which it retained after a successful evaluation in 2017.

Among the criteria used was Employer Reputation, which looked into how employers viewed Thomasian graduates. Other criteria used in the rankings included Academic Reputation, Faculty-Student Ratio, Citations per Faculty, and the presence of international faculty and students.

In the profile for UST on the World University Rankings page, QS recognized UST’s dominance in licensure exams for fields like medicine, nursing, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, engineering, architecture, accountancy, and education, among others.

In the Asian University Rankings, UST joined the Top 150 universities, at 145th place.
