UST joins DoH, Natasha Goulborn Foundation in gearing up projects to address mental health

The University of Santo Tomas, through the Counseling and Career Center (CCC), supports the Department of Health and the Natasha Goulborn Foundation in its efforts to address mental health concerns in the country.

CCC director Lucila O. Bance, PhD represented UST last November 11, 2016, during the announcement of the partnership among the different agencies, like DoH, NGF, the Department of Education, and the private sector. During the event, the new mental health hotline—HOPELINE—was announced. This aims to promote openness among those suffering from depression and other mental challenges by seeking assistance.

Hopeline has campus caravans to raise awareness regarding mental health issues.
