The Aquinian, the official student publication of UST Junior High School, bagged eight awards in the conference entitled MULAT 2019, organized by the Bedan, last January 11 to 12, 2019, at San Beda University.
Frances Moira Cruz, Christer Anne Javier, and Walfrido Novero III received the highest awards in the categories of Feature Writing, Sports Writing, and Opinion Writing, respectively.
Moreover, Bienvenido Castro III earned the third place in the News Writing category and also bagged the second place in Opinion Writing.
In the category of photojournalism, Sheena Angela Pabulayan was adjudged as third place winner. Lastly, Christian Uriel Ulatan and Althea Lino also received special awards for their contributions to the student publication.
MULAT 2019 became a niche between aspiring journalists and practitioners in the field, nurtured through writing workshops and competitions that aimed to recognize the best works. The Bedan is the official student publication of SBU.
