UST is PH’s Most Outstanding Marketing Student Association

The University of Santo Tomas, through the Department of Marketing Management, was named the Most Outstanding Marketing Student Association of the Philippines, emerging as Champion in the Junior Marketing Association Category in the 33rd Agora Youth Awards on August 8, 2025 at the BYD Aseana Manila Bay showroom.

The Thomasian Marketing students who took the center stage were:

  • Naj Naumi R. Fernando (4M4)
  • Trisha Ann S. Mariano (4M4)
  • Phrileane Oryza D. Sideño (4M4)
  • Gregore Anthony C. Valencia (4M4)
  • Patricia Jeanelle G. Bagsic (3M4)
  • Gellea Ann C. Barrera (4M5)
  • Lyzza Shane L. Del Rosario (4M1)

Meanwhile, College of Commerce and Business Administration Assistant Dean. Prof. Francis Lawrence B. De Jesus, PhD., and Department of Marketing Management chair, Asst. Prof. Antonio E. Etrata Jr., PhD, steered the team to victory.

The group proposed two products and comprehensive campaigns backed by meticulous research involving primary and secondary data. The group submitted a 198-page marketing plan that comprised 40% of the score.

They presented a summary of their output on August 5, 2025, to a panel of judges, with the President and CEO as one of the panelists.

In the same event, Mary Christ Pascua was named among the Top 10 Most Outstanding Marketing Students in the Philippines. Pascua emerged as a Topnotcher of the Registered Marketing Professional (RMP) exam of Batch 2025. She served as the Executive Social Affairs Officer of UST JMA and graduated magna cum laude.

Last January 28, 2025, in the 43rd Agora Awards, the University bagged the Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Education and Outstanding Achievement as Marketing Educator – Collegiate Level.

UST was named Agora Youth Champion in 2016 and 2021.

The Philippine Marketing Association (PMA), in partnership with AGC Power Holdings Corporation (AGCPHC), hosted the 33rd Agora Youth Awards, the country’s most prestigious national marketing competition that recognizes top outstanding marketing students and organizations.
