UST improves in THE Impact Rankings 2026 indicators, maintains status in 1501+ bracket

With improvements in the indicators of Teaching, Research Environment, and Industry, the University of Santo Tomas maintained its spot in the 1501+ bracket of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, whose 2026 edition was released on October 9, 2025.

Teaching, which measures teaching reputation according to a global survey, student-staff ratio, doctorate-bachelor ratio, doctorate staff ratio, and institutional income, showed improvement compared to the 2025 edition. The same can be said for Industry, which focuses on patents and industry income, and Research Environment, which includes productivity, reputation, and research income as indicators.

With the ranking, UST maintains its status as among the #3 top-ranked universities, sharing the bracket with De La Salle University, Mapua University, and Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology.
