UST, Echague LGU ink Memorandum of Understanding on heritage protection projects

The UST Graduate School – Center for Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in the Tropics (GS-CCCPET) and the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) through the UST Sentro Turismo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Municipal Government of Echague, Isabela. It was held on June 06, 2023 at UST Sentro Turismo.

The MOU forges a partnership in facilitating and implementing programs, projects, and activities to promote and protect the natural and cultural heritage of Echague, Isabela. The partnership will also focus on sustainable tourism development as well as grassroots-based projects.  

LGU Echague was represented by its Mayor Hon. Francis Faustino “Kiko” A. Dy, Vice Mayor Hon. Allan P. Tupong, M.D., Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Tourism Chair Hon. Nemesio S. Castillo and Municipal Tourism, Culture and Arts Officer Mr. Louie C. Simbe.

The University of Santo Tomas was represented by the Graduate School Dean Prof. Michael Anthony C. Vasco, Ph.D., UST GS-CCCPET Director Assoc. Prof. Eric B. Zerrudo, Ph.D., and CTHM Dean Assoc. Prof. Gezzez Giezi G. Granado, DCL.
